Philippines Relief Fund

Hey Everyone I just wanted to let you guys know about the flood that has hit the Philippines so far over 200 people have been killed and 2 million homes hit. This is waaaaay worse than Hurricane Katrina. Anyways operation blessing is a faith based relief organization that is really legit. They have a team of doctors that go house to house and they provide care, clothes, food, water and all the care needed to help our brothers and sisters in the Philippines recover. So I did a freestyle yesterday to Jay-Z's already home and the bridge really stuck with me. For those of you who didn't know I struggled with clinical depression for a long time. And it kind of is the cancer of the soul that turns your own psyche against you. So when different people including a part of yourself are trying to take you down you just have to fight back. So if I seem cocky I'm really not I just do some stuff for wordplay and sometimes you gotta build yourself up you know? Anyways let me know what you guys think. I DO LOVE YOU

This is one of my favorite Epik High Songs. I think it's a good response to the last post. I heard Tablo said when he was writing the album he felt God calling him to write about certain things. The subtitle to this song on the album is "Return to the Father." I wonder if it's true. It makes sense to me. God loves every piece of us even the mess we've made ourselves into. Like the one line I love the sight of your back ever shrinking away. God loves us even when we leave. Hence the second song by Epik High as well Called One, Tablo said he wrote this one to fans but the subtitle to this album is crown of thorns hmmmmm? what do you think. I love both of these songs and this is the type of music I try to make. A deep connection with something greater than all of us God, love, hope, faith, endurance, peace, and acceptance. who will you choose time is tickin tick tock time is tickin. OH SHHHNAP NEW SWITCHFOOT!!

Switchfoot is back and waaaay grungier. I'm a huge fan of their grungier stuff like oh gravity and nothing is sound. But the theme of this song is so true. Man who doesn't feel this way I know I do. For real. I made a mess of me I want to get back the rest of me I want to spend the rest of my life alive. I've made alot of mistakes in my life ....in fact I made one today. For all of you that don't know I'm a christian if you can't tell by the big banner on top of the blog haha. But the biggest draw of the faith to me is that I'm free to know I am a problem and the solution. I don't have to pretend like I don't have problems and imagine my good can outweigh my terrible messes I've made. The great thing about my faith is Jesus accempts me forgives me and helps me become more of the solution and less of the problem day by day so I can begin to reverse the tragedy.
